Quiet Season

This is the quiet season, the subterranean season, the time when life moves underground. In the natural cycle of the year, the span between Halloween and Yule is a time of stillness and reflection as the Earth slips deeper into the season of quiescence.

We took a sauna this evening and as we made our way back to the house, afterward, the full moon was rising in the northeast above Diamond Ridge. The Winter moon lights up the snow-wrapped darkness, transforming the landscape into a wonderland.
