The New Kid

She turned up about a week ago in the front of the trailer park--a very small, self-possessed kitten.  I haven't seen any sign of any other kittens or her mother.  I am sure there is a sad, frightening story in her past.

I am guessing she is 6-7 weeks old.  I don't know how long she has been on her own but she's had a frightening week and we decided she would do best in the house with the other kittens rather than languishing in a cage in the shop.  The unspoken assumption is that we will keep her.  

The older kittens are delighted with the prospect of a new toy--er--sister.

So she has a day or so to get used to the house and its ways before we set her loose to befriend the other cats on her own.
