Frost!

The temperature was in the upper thirties and dipping lower when we got up this morning.

A bit later, we noticed a whitish deposit on the deck furniture. I went out and touched it--thinking it might be some errantic volcanic ash.

But it melted at my touch, so I guess we just had our first frost of the season...

By any measure, it was a very "soft" frost and none of the vegetation seemed the worse for it.

Well, I figure that those degrees must be in Fahrenheit. No frost if they were Centigrade. When I first read high thirties, I nearly fell off my chair!

LOL--I feel fairly safe in saying that Homer will not see temperatures inthe upper thirties Centigrade any time soon.
