View From Our Window

A typical summer view out our bedroom window.

For a brief time when we were first building the house, this was our *only* window.

Today it is open to the fresh summer air. The water dish is a favorite with those who like the ambiance of birdsong with their drink. We put the fan in the window at night to blow cool air inside (who needs air conditioning?) because our house retains heat so well.

Beyond the window screen, the greens of summer beckon.
