The temperature was ten degrees when we got up this morning but by early afternoon, it was up to thirty. The clouds moving in from the southwest were a vivid dark blue and the air was heavy with moisture.

At bedtime, water was dripping off the roof.

The one thing about our weather, it stays interesting.

The highlight of the day was spotting the pheasant scratching around in the shallow snow of the backyard. We think of him as "our" pheasant--we have fed him over several winters but haven't seen or heard him since last spring. So it was good to know he is still around and remembers where to come for food.
